So what is amalga•muse? It is my first attempt to create a magazine-style Wordpress template. I think this trend towards magazine-style sites is part of the evolution of self-publishing. People are no longer setting up blogs to post online journal entries. More and more bloggers are really generating the equivalent of a magazine, creating entries on a variety of topics.

I recently completed the design of a web site geared towards promoting an event for Calvary Church of Santa Ana's student ministry. DayZero is a Friday night event for Orange County high school students featuring live music, free giveaways (an iPod Touch!), food, etc. This project was a great opportunity to stretch my ability as both an artist and a Flash animator.

I completed a redesign of CalvaryLife.org, the web site of Calvary Church of Santa Ana. I was able to make significant changes to its look in a relatively short amount of time (1 week) because of the power of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
