I watched the end of the Giants/Redskins game on Sunday. As I caught my first glimpse of the Reskins’ “throwback” uniforms, I thought I was looking at something more akin to “sellout” uniforms. It seemed like McDonald’s purchased the branding rights and forced Washington to field a team full of Ronald McDonald clowns.

No balloon animals, but there was some impressive break dancing — they may be clowns, but at least they’re hip clowns. The Ronalds lost the game. It certainly wasn’t difficult for the Giants to see their opponents in their mustard and ketchup inspired outfits. IMO, these throwbacks were best left in the archive. What do you think? I dig em but I am unsure why this second guy is breakdancing when there is a football game going on. I mean there are end zone celebrations and then there is this.

Hallelujah

"Hallelujah" is a song written by Leonard Cohen. It was first recorded on his 1984 album Various Positions, but there have been numerous covers. Jeff Buckley has rendered what I consider the best version of the song (he is pictured above).
